Honda HS80 Snowblower - transmission parts needed
Original Message   Dec 12, 2005 9:38 pm
First time user.

I have an older HS80 blower with a great engine. The transmission has blown up on me and I am wondering if it would be worthwhile spending 400 bucks on the needed parts to fix it, or would I be better off looking for an old blower with a seized engine and bolt on my Honda engine? My neighbor advises that the Honda engine would last forever and should be a relatively easy bolt on to a another machine.

My local Honda dealer has another HS80 just traded in, but their asking price of $1200 Cdn for a 12 year old machine seems quite high.

Buying their new machine $2700 Cdn, is out of the question.
