New Husqvarna Snowblower
Original Message   Dec 3, 2005 12:15 pm
I just picked up a new Husqvarna 10527SBE, wanted to get the Ariens 926LE but everyone ran out of them. Looked at the Toro but was over my budget for the features I wanted. I liked my older Areins but it just didnt have the power for the heavier storms and the EOD. Also my drive is single wide 85'+ long, and due to an adjasent drive I have to double blow the snow for about 35 ft. I liked the power steer, and remote hood deflection feature on yhe Husky. Does anyone have this machine and if so has it lived up to your expectations? Im hoping for some snow in the next couple of days to try it out.

I picked it up from a local dealer for 959.99 + tax including free setup, I thought that was a pretty good deal.

YK,

If you want a parts breakdown on your machine, go to the Poulan web site.

When there, snowblowers, then your model, then owners manual, then Parts!

Husky , Poulan and Electrolux all are the same machines, just a different color and name!!!

The are made by AYP a sub of Electrolux!!

Thanks Jubol, I have the manual, there are plenty of full service Husky dealers in the area, so parts and service wont be a problem. Im looking out at the snow falling just waiting to go out and fire up my new toy.

YK,

Download the parts description,.

If you have the parts number that you need, you can  check prices at sears and many othe parts suppliers.

Much cheaper than a husky dealer.

Only had maybe 2" of wet snow but took it out anyways.

I started it up and WTF the impeller isnt spining. I take off the belt cover and find the belt off the lower pulley. I had to drop the whole front end assy to get the belt back on. (And yes it was prepped by a "professional dealer"

Then I needed to adjust the skid plates to get scrapper lower, not a complaint, except the cheap bolt snapped. Probebly I used to much tork, after all I was in a pissed off mode still.

Every time I have it in any higher gear than 1st , The front end does a wheelie, way to lite . ( Would a weight bar help)??

I liked the power steering, but wished the chute would rotate atleast another 10 degrees in each direction.

I also never got the power cord with it. Not that I have an outlet to plug it in, just a note

I find the klink pins very easy to remove. In fact to easy that Im afraid they may get knocked off in heavy snow and ice and lose a wheel. Better have spares handy

Did I make a mistake??     Should I have gotten the Ariens 926LE???

Of course its Sunday so I can't call up and scream at my dealer... And Im a little descusted as I write this... Gee doe's it Show

PS: I forgot to mention it was very easy dropping the impeller section to facilitate replacing the belt. It was actually eaiser than replacing belts on my old Ariens ST524 (1989)

I have  an  Ariens 1128DLE. I put it in "high gear"  at full throttle  today and  engaged the drive. No wheely but
I almost pulled my arms out of their sockets. lol

I have run into a few so called "professional" mechanics  which is why I do all the repairs myself. That way, I never have any problems. If you want it done right, you have to do it yourself.

I havent had a chance to get back to the dealers yet. I have calmed down since I posted Sunday, just kind of over reacted.

After replacing the belt it ran fine. I think I just need some operating time to get used to it. It handles a lot different than my old 5hp Ariens.

With out getting into a Proffesional series Ariens, must of the machines seem very similar in and around the same price range.

Hopefully we may have a snow storm last in the week so I can get a chance to try it out again.
