Anybody knows which manufacturer makes them in 4 cycle?  So far all I can find are 2 strokes. Thanks.

Is it the smell?

Because there is some very good 100:1 two stroke oil available, that has very little smell. A quality two stroke is going to provide lightweight and excellent power. I have a little Echo Shred and Vac, it works well. Many times I will vacuum without the bag and blow the shredded debris into the lawn (like getting the leaves out of the bushes in the flower beds) , when it gets run over by the mower it is gone.

What are you looking for?

I've never seen one either.  I'd be willing to bet there is one in the works somewhere coming soon.

Mint's, what model Echo Shred'n' vac do you have?  I have the Echo ES-230 and I like it. 

The smell is fine.... I actually like it. Reminds me of my younger days.

Being that all our other OPE are 4 cycle, I do not want to have another extra gas container for mixed fuel. More chances of error. If you know what I mean.

I believe I saw that John Deere now has a hand held 4 stroke leaf blower.  I cannot remember the model number or where I saw it, but I'm sure you can find it on www.deere.com.

It appears the only model Deere has in 4 cycle is BH25LE

Ryobi has been making trimmers with 4cycle engines on them for a couple years now. However, I don't think they amount to much.

Honda make a 4 stroke blower... It is powered by their GX25 Over Head Cam mini 4 stroke.

I upgraded from a Ryobi 31cc 2 stroke on the weekend.

I am in Australia and would assume it would be available for sale worldwide...

Would never buy a 2 stroke again....

Yes, Honda does make a leaf blower, hand held ,4 stroke. However, they do not sell them in the USA. Honda has them in the UK and in Australia. I was able to find one for sale on ebay UK. Yes it did cost me an arm and a leg ( $ 523.00 us ) but it's a honda so it's worth it. The modle number HHB 25E. If you go onto ebay uk put the modle number in and you will find one.
