Original Message   Mar 31, 2005 8:13 pm
okay folks...

a customer of ours has a real heavy duty tractor with eaton stickers on it.

has front and rear pto and a bunch of other stuff.

any one here know who built these.

he thinks it is built in early 70s not sure.

i think it is a simplicity or snapper not sure either.

and the good part is he might just sell it to me. no i havent seen it,but i will.

Good question Chris. All I know of is Eaton Corporation.

Maybe it just has Eaton stickers and they are not representative of the brand of tractor?

Chris,
When I hear Eaton, I think hydraulics. Then I think Ingersol.
I thought you had an Ingersol with an Onan?
But when I searched, all I got was Bolens 1250.
And a dealer called Eaton.

Chris - can you post a pic of it? That may help someone identify it. I associate Eaton with automotive differentials, gears & hydraulics. This is a mystery...

you know if i wasnt such a dumbhead i would explain things a bit better .

the tractor was sold by eatons...same as sears sells stuff that is not made by them, but is usually made special for them.

it isnt mine but belongs to a customer who collects tractors. he has an ingersol hydro...very nice. a cub cadet hydro that is very nice and a couple old bolens tractors as well as this eatons tractor. it is almost the size of the ingersol.

he wants to sell me the cub but i would prefer the eaton ,and i have no idea why.

i will take the missus and her high teck camera and get some pics to post.
