That link works, My brother wasn't home, so as soon as he home, I will post the model and serial numbers. The manuals that are on the website pretty much look like the original owners manuals. Thanks for the help

Husqvarna help

I am trying to help my brother with his husqvarna snowblower. We live 4 states apart, and I am trying to help him fix his blower via the phone and computer. Dealers in his area refuse to work on husqavarna snowblowers. We are trying to find a service manual. We can't find any on the company website. Can anyone point me in the right direction to locate a manual either online or print. It is really becoming a pain trying to fix this unit by using the parts breakdown.

Re: How much increased speed will the Ariens cast iron gearbox safely handle.

Thank you for the info. I havent put the gearbox together yet, But when I do, I will base that decision on the condition of the brass gear shaft etc. I will also take into account that the 8hp motor does have some age to it. I also have the  clarence kit for my impeller. Would adding this kit have a better or worse effect with the smaller pulley. More leverage less torque kinda thing?

Thanks for the reply, for clarification, Its the impeller pulley that I have to change. My 9in is destroyed, and I have a 8 in on the shelf. I understand that the 8 in would work the engine harder. But like I said I don't want to damage anything else. I inherited the blower from my brother, who lived in the sierras. He said when it ran, it did a decent job. I have not had enough snow to really get a good idea.
