Rocketman, Most any vacuum sold these days that has bags will almost always come with a couple of extra bags except HOOVER. Bags are offered by me for a few leads that I could use a customer 's name. If you got the deal (price) you said you did , how could you ask the man to take more money out of his pocket. You asked about the water units. It is Reverse osmosis. where it is better than the competition is it's efficiency. Most all units have a 10% efficiency rating. For every 1,000 gallons that runs thru the unit you lose 900 gallons as waste water. The Purelux unit is 75% efficient. 1000 gallons goes in 250 gallons of waste water comes out. So when you use the water unit and get 7.5 gallons , you had only 2.5 gallons of wastewater. Far better than get one gallon and have 9 gallons of wastewater. Two units are available. The best way to learn more is go on the website- WWW.Aerusonline.com and go into the water section. They work great. I'll check it out right now. How much can I expect to pay for these two units? If you are in the business, maybe I can just buy from you?

Did you get your free 100 pack of bags with your purchase?
Did you get the 3 free hepa filters that come with the promotion on that particular machine?
Do you get the lifetime free pick up and delivery on supplies and service.?
MOLE No, I didn't! I got two lousy bags and that was it! I'm going to call him tomorrow!

Hi Venson, Yeah, maybe I should have just had the vacuum repaired but I was thinking it would cost a few hundred dollars to repair it and the guy said he would sell me the upright for $700. So I was thinking for just $400 more I could have a brand new one. Then I ended up buying the canister for a $1000, lol. So I don't know. I really was just thinking it was time for a new one, I guess.

Thanks for the replies everyone. I never thought in a million years I would ever pay this much for a vacuum. I was just hoping I got a good price on it after I bought it. I called a california dealer and he told me $2800 dollars, lol. That's crazy! My mother gave me that old electrolux. I only had it about a year. She had bought me the new Guardian upright model but I told her I wasn't going to take it and to just give me her old one because I didn't want her spending that much money on me. I could have gotten the upright for $700 dollars but I ended up paying $300 dollars more for the cannister. He said I would have had to pay another $200 for the accessories. I was hoping more people would reply about the price but oh well. It sounds like I got a great vacuum. I didn't realize it took four years to come up with that hose. I guess I did good. Does anybody know anything about the Aerus water purifiers? I'm thinking about getting one but I don't know anything about them as far as quality and price.

Hi everyone, I just got suckered in to buying an Aerus Lux Guardian Ultra cannister vacuum. The guy told me it was the top of the line and normally sells for $1799. I had a very old (15+ years old) electrolux that I traded in and I ended up paying $1000 plus tax. Did I get a good deal? It seems like an awful lot of money for a vacuum but I was told I shouldn't have to buy another vacuum for about 20 years or so. If it matters, I am from Maryland. It seems so difficult to shop around because the dealers don't want to give you prices over the phone. My mother was the biggest influence. She loves her electrolux vacuums.
