Re: Ariens ST926DLE for $999
#1   Aug 14, 2005 8:21 pm
I went to the dealer today and he told me it was a misprint and the ad was wrong. The model without the locking differentials,  handwarmers, and with a l-head engine was $999. The delux model was $1500. I complained but he wouldn't budge on his price. So I didn't buy one. I will have to wait for a deal.
Ariens ST926DLE for $999
#2   Aug 12, 2005 3:56 pm
Hi, A local dealer is selling new ST926DLE for $999. I need a new snowblower and would like to know what people think of this machine and if it is worth the price. I live in southern mass and last year we got slammed with snow. One storm dropped 36 inches.

Thanks

Matt

Yardman Snowbird Friction Disc?
#3   Mar 18, 2005 10:55 am
Hi, I have a 197? Yardman Snowbird 26" W/ 7HP TEC and I need a new friction disc. I called MTD and they said they don't have any parts for it anymore but I may be able to match it up with a friction disc from a different machine. Does anyone know where I can get this part or if any other friction disc will fit? The model number is 7100-2 and I don't know what year it is.
ariens 11528dle vs Honda hs928wc

Hi, Next year I will be buying a new blower and I have decided between the two above. I do believe they are both very good machines. I want to know if anyone that owns a hs928 thinks it is underpowered. I noticed the Ariens 11528 has a 11.5 hp and the honda only has a 9hp. I don't mind spending the money on a quality product but I don't want to get something that is underpowered.
clearing down to bare tar

Hi, I am kinda new to snowblowers and I want to know if it is normal for a blower to leave a thin layer of snow on a smooth tar driveway? All the info i have seen on height adjustments is about 1/8 inch > I set my blower at this height and it does a great job with the snow but it leaves a thin layer of snow to top of the driveway. Is this normal?
