honda EX350 generator problem - cutting out, any ideas?
#1   Nov 11, 2007 1:50 pm
I have just  acquired an old Honda generator. It starts fine with the choke out  and continues to run steadily but as soon as I put the control down to the on position it cuts out. It is as though it is actually cutting itself out deliberately, not that it cant run because the mixture is not right or something. I have changed the fuel to make sure it is new and clean(100:1 ratio), cleaned the spark plug, taken out the tailpipe of the exhaust that you are supposed to able able to clean with a wire brush (but I couldnt get into it to clean it ) it did the same thing with the exhaust tailpipe removed anyway so it cant be that. So, any suggestions?
