In response to this message: "It may also help, if you would provide the area of the country you live in, how much snow you receive, how big is the area you are clearing, what your budget is, your physical abilities(not being sexist, this is important for us guys too, if elderly or have a bad back or whatever, would play into the suggested units for you to consider)."
I live in NorthEast Ohio, one of the snowier cities. Last year, we got over 100" of recorded snow, although they say the average around here is 50-60". The city I live in gets more than the official snowfall recorded at the airport. Each of the last three years, Cleveland has had a top 5 record snow season. My driveway is about 125' long, single-wide, except for the pad which is wide enough for 3 cars to park. I'm not the strongest person in the world, but I do work out and have no physical limitations. I do have asthma which really doesn't mix with the fumes from my current single stage snowblower with a 2-cycle engine. 4-cycle engines are better for me.
Sorry, I don't know why my paragraphs didn't come out in the original post (and probably won't in this one). I'll try HTML, but if that doesn't work, feel free to scold me and let me in on the secret. ;-) Thanks again, Lisa
