Gone for a week...sending Marine Son to Africa

Hey Guys, Just so you don't think I died or something, I'm leaving tomorrow to see my son off to Africa. He is leaving Camp LeJeune and being deployed to Djibouti Africa for six months to a year or more. Djibouti, I'm told, is not the most enjoyable place to be. It is the nerve center for counter terrorism intelligence for the middle east, etc. It is a combat zone, but seems to be far safer then Iraq. It is on the east coast of Africa, at the southern tip of the Red sea, across from Yemen. Anyway, see you next week. Frank D.

Frank Say thank you to your son as well for his service to our country. I got to talking with a woman cashier in the grocery store I go to who commented on how glad she was that her work day was over so she could go home to her daughter who was back from Iraq. We got to talking...her daughter is a gunner who was stationed outside of Saddam's former palace. I asked her to please say thank you to her daughter for her service. I think its important to take every opportunity we have to say "thanks" directly because our service members need to know how grateful we are. Paula
