The thing is that I'M very sad that all our post in the other forum as gone  and the rank too IT's like sarting  over here . Do I have energy to ask all those questions again and reply to all those I did answer already NO I don't think. I request at least a 125 post rank here. Or I simply quit this forum.

Regards

Marshall

Well, I have good news and bad news.

The good news is the Archives of WTB are going to be available for us here at Abby's. The bad news is, you start over on your post count. That might be changed someday when we go live but I am not going to guarentee it. If that forces you to leave.....see ya!

Hello Gold,

This is a direct quote from Peter:

The site is currently in beta stages. We will correct people's rank once we go live.

Thank you.

All of the frustration we are going through is all leading to a awesome forum with years of trouble free use.  Hang in there.  It will all be worth it.

Fred, when I erase everything I have in the post, I click the Post button.  It removes everything I had in the post, but not the fact that I did say something.  My name is there with a blank post.  Try it, are you getting that same thing?

Hello,
I was just wondering, do we really want to delete posts?
If we do, then it may kind of "break the chain of continunity", and make posts be very confusing to others.

It almost seems wrong, like if I said stuff that others responded to, then edited it out, the responses would make no sense
and just get others angry.

I say, think before you type, and let things stay, if more explaination is needed, add it later.

Just my humble opinion.

Although others may be of the opinion that my post sometimes are "useless", i have never posted to "up my count".
I too was a bit bummed that I lost, (at least for now), my over 800 posts and a senior member rank, but it is not the number that counts,
it is the sense of community, and that our imput is sincere and helpful here.

The number of posts do not earn respect, it is the content of our posts that do.

If we lost or "points" every week, and had to start over, would it really make a big difference in the comoraderie we enjoy?

I do not think so.   I'm reminded of a verse I once read,  "Whosoever be the greatest among you, must be servant of all"

Respectfully,

Frank D.

We will provide a way to get your old post count back here. The problem with doing it right now is that some people are still posting on WTB and so their post count is still "moving" over there...

Since some of the screen names have changed this sounds like a manual operation will be required.

Sure hope it is worth the effort.
