Have a Kenmore W & D both new about 10 years ago.  During the last year have noticed that the towels [new] are starting the shred threads at the ends and new pants, shirts etc show signs of knots in the fabric.  Just as is you ran the fabric over concrete or a rough surface and you would get the fabric to knot up in areas that made contact.  Any ideas what to look for?

Check for pennys or metal under the spinner, we had this problem too, and there's some kind of javel that is to strong for textile.
