I actually hate to see a shark that glorious go down like that.  Rarely if ever a man eater is the Great White.  The Bulls are the ones that bite around here in the Gulf and Atlantic.  I lived in MIA in my college/baseball days.   Saw some Pilot whales beach themselves S. Beach during that time, again hard to watch an animal of that size/ amazement ,die.  The recent attacks in FLA are nothin new, an aggressive Bull or two bitin' .  Bulls are the ones to watch out for predominately.   Blue's amaze me, hammerheads intrigue me, Mantas humble me, Great Whites, well  just overwhelm!!!

Used to fish like crazy there.  Even if I caught a Nurse shark or a even a barracuda accidently, they got a safe return.

Grouper didnt make out as well.    Yummy, yummy!!!!!

The whales and the dolphins are fascinating to me...."gentle giants".  I had an opportunity to swim with dolphins when I was younger and living in Florida and it was an incredible experience.  The sheer enormity of their size and what they could do if they chose to but didn't was incredible in itself.  But its their intelligence that I found so fascinating.....felt like they were always one step ahead of us, not to mentioned bored with our lack of ability in water.  LOL.  They have such a sense of fun and innocence to them....like big kids.

Bill, agreed! I don't like seeing any killing just for the killing.

Overall the sharks have more to fear from man, than man has to fear from sharks.

If I were the shark, I'd certainly be afraid to be out swimming around people.

Exactly...if you look at the ratio of human deaths versus shark deaths...they have a good reason to be afraid....in addition, we have reporters ...they don't...
