Rain water levels

This is what our dock looks like now. It goes out at least 5 feet past the bow of the boat. The boat has floated itself (with out the plug) and is now tied off as best as possible.
This is the best picture that I could find that showed a before the rain.
There's the boat sitting on the wharf and that's Chris' step father there with the fish in case you were wondering. I can't wait until the water is back where it's supposed to be. Sherri

Marshall If this much rain (under another rain warning 2-5 inches more for today & tonight ) is what happens when hell freezes over, don't you think that it's time to formulate a way to unfreeze the place? Some people may think that hell needs a good layer of ice to keep all the nasties in - but when was the vote that hell was in, around or under Nova Scotia? Severly water logged in NS Sherri http://www.herald.ns.ca/stories/2005/05/25/f294.raw.html PS - Just got to work and the neighbor called and they are moving out of their house temporairily. The water has it totally surrounded and has about 1 foot to go before it hits the main part of their house. An all out moving party has been scheduled for everybody that can help. Stupid me - I left my boots at home.

They have offically taken some of the dam away to allow the water to run into Hebb Lake in the hopes that they can lower that lakes level. But Hebb Lake feeds into Fancy Lake (that's the lake Mom and Dad are on) and the water has been raising steadily all day. I was over to the neighbors this morning and they have torn up the carpets, removed all the furnishings, they started making calls to their family from help around 6 AM this morning. They lined up a friend with a flat deck trailer that hauls woods gear around most of the time. That got loaded and then all that was left was the odds and ends. What really got me was a reporter with the local radio station came and stood at the water line and watched and expected one of us to give up working to give him an interview. He left with his tires sqealing - now I've already complained to the radio station, but I'm planning on more complaining. The CBC tv station was at their place yesterday, they weren't in a panic then to get everything out - just preparing the yard still. After everything was looked after today and trailered to where ever, the ATV news showed up. But I shouldn't rant about someone that's just trying to do their job, but htey should pick a better time to do it. Well I should get going. I will keep you updated regularly and I will gladly pass on your prayers. Sherri
