Chevy Colorado or GMC Canyon

Does anyone own a Chevy Colorado or GMC Canyon?Which engine, tranny? Like it ....Hate it.... ? I just move kids and an occasional dead deer so I don't need the Dodge Dakota. Seems like a nice truck though. I could pobably get a new Dakota for the same price as a year old Colorado? That makes it a tough decision. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Dan

Rob,You're right about the cookie cutter. It's hard to find a manual transmission in anything but a stripped down base model. Even harder with the I-5 engine. This Colorado has simple car type options that in most base cars are standard like; power windows, door locks and mirrors. In a truck it's all extra. I also got the autolocking differential. I did'nt find this truck though...it found me. I was'nt looking for this one but I was intrigued with the options plus the manual tranny. The window sticker claiming it will get 19 MPG in town was a winner with me. I had to stretch a bit to come up with a decent downpayment but the old Explorer was giving up the ghost quickly. Being "Pimped" for me would be a bediner[the spray on would be "the bomb"], fog lights and step rails.
