We call them subs.

Really for us it's Coke. Twenty miles away, in PA it's Pop.

In our family we call it Soda Pop because that is what it is. Coke is short for Cokaine. Back in Cokacola's early days, they were all about the drug cokaine before a law was passed. So, you will never here the word Coke from us.

Around here it's Coke or Pop. I know of know one that says Soda, except them strange women folk from Wisconsin. When they want a beer they ask for an Old Milwaukee too.

I usually call it "mix". It is unhealthy to drink coke straight with all that caffeine. Best to cut it with a little of your favourite rum. Dulls any negative effects of the caffeine, and if you drink enough, dulls everything but the hangover the next day.

Here in western NY we call it Pop.....................
Someone actually did a study awhile back to find out exactally where it changes from pop to soda here in NY.
Another interesting note is that although Coca-cola is the top dog most other places, it is a bit of an anomoly that here in Western NY, Pepsi is number 1

Pepsi is certainly number one here now in MY house, because we all collect the pepsi "iTunes" winning caps for free songs for the ipod.....
All you people who drink Pepsi products, get winning caps and throw them away.........shame on you.........

Dr Pepper is huge here in Oklahoma and Texas, they don't have Coke or Pepsi beat but are gaining on them both.
