Hoover FloorMATE H3000
Original Message   Jan 10, 2010 8:55 pm
I have a Mdl #H3000 floormate & can't find the grout brushes for that machine.  Are they still available or can I use the 6 brush for the newer style Floormate?  I don't know if this is the brushes I need because I have white tile floors to clean & the white SpinScrub brushes on my H3000 don't reach the grout very good.

Hello Hooverman:

Have you tried the on-line HOOVER parts store?  The configuration of the brushes distiguishes the set for the hardwood floors versus the tile floors.  User manual should also provide information on ordering, part numbers, and prices for both sets.

The regular brushes for the H3000 is Part# 59177038 but I don't know if the grout brush is Part# 59177172 or if that is a different brush.  btw, can the H3030 brushes fit the H3000?  Seems like parts for the H3000 (best of all Floormates) are getting harder to find.  If I can't find the grout brush block for the H3000, I might have to get the newer style floormate but the H3060 is out of my price range (I barely could afford a used floormate from eBay)

Hello hooverman:

I have and use the H3060 with 6 brush spin/scrub sets.  I purchased in August 2004.  Unfortunately the part numbers do not coincide with your numbers.  The brush set you pictured is the set I use for my tile floors and grout.  However, not exclusively.  My daughter's house has sculptured tile, vice my smooth, and I use the 'blue' single outer row brush set for these floors.  Also, I use just warm-hot tap water and no solution.  I use the Floormate regularly on the floors and it maintains their original new look [despite all the kiddies and a dog].  Both my brush sets are still like brand new despite all the usage.

I don't know how it compares to other floormates, but Costco currently has a floormate on sale for about $105 including shipping.

SEVERUS:

Terrific price.  This is the same as my H3060 which was priced $160 when I purchased in August 2004, but I got all the extra attachments.  I never use them.  The brushes pictured are the set that I suggested hooverman use on his tile job.  I use this brush set for the tile floors in my daughter's house which is sculptured rather than smooth.  I find the single row standalone spin/scrub brushes work better for this type surface than the double rows I use on my own smooth tile.  Interestingly all 4 reviews, recent too, rate the product 5 stars.  I find the suction cleaning adequate on the Floormate for dry surface cleaning and prefer instead my ORECK XL to vacuum clean the tile floors before washing/drying with the HOOVER Floormate.  BTW, WRT noise level, the Floormate is quiet and both my [now in puppy heaven] and my daughter's dog have no problems with the Floormate's noise.

Is anyone willing to trade the H3000 FloorMATE for a H3060?

I FINALLY found the grout brushes for my FloorMATE; it took a while to get them, but it sure got the tile cleaner than ever before.

The grout SpinScrub brushes for the H3000, H3001, H3010 & H3012 is Part# 59177172

Regular SpinScrub brushes for the H3000 thru H3012 is Part# 59177038

I don't know why customers have to buy that brush set seperately when they buy the Mdl H3000 Floormate; the H3010 came with BOTH brushes:

  1. WHITE for most hard floors
  2. GREY or BLUE for stone, tile & grout

Maybe I'll upgrade to either the H3050 or H3060 but they're both out of my price range now.  I wish the Floormates were quieter, since they're really loud (wearing earplugs doesn't seem to help much but I do anyways)

I use the white on my smooth tile & grout and use the blue on my daughter's sculptured tile and grout.  I am pleased with the results.  No problem with the FM noise for my dog/my daughter's dog [both yellow labs, one English and one American] who usually assist me with the jobs.
