If the adjustments are off on it, there could be something inside the transmission area rubbing on it too on one side or the other.

I want to set the record straight:  jrtebor is correct saying you will wear out the cutting edge/scaper first and it is not likely to eat away the bucket.  I bought a set of commerical grade skid shoes as my old ones are worn out and hoping to resolve a pulling issue.  Not sure why the instruction says DO NOT use the nuts attached inside the bucket when securing new skids shoes but wants me take the nuts out and insert the screws from inside of the bucket.  Anyone knows why?  Are these commerical grade skids any better other than being thicker and longer lasting?

Umm, wouldn't the screw heads stick out much less and be less likely to hit the augers or get other things stuck on them then the threaded end and the nut?

I looked at the ebay link and those are definitely the same kind of clips used on my late 70s Ariens blowers.
Re: What's the difference between TECUMSEH starter 33328A, 33328B, 33328C and 33328D?

What I have found with Tecumseh is the letter on the end of a part number just indicates a revision. Every time they find something wrong with the previous part and update the design they change the letter on the end so most likely they are all the same.

I saw some pictures and videos of them a year or 2 ago. I think the video I saw was a White Outdoor. My guess is they were trying to make something between wheel drive and track drive.
