i have a TMC backpack leaf blower that has a little kawasaki 2 stroke engine. This unit is probably from the 80,s and calls for a 25:1 mix. can i just mix it 40:1 and use it in this unit? Seems like every 2 stroke i,ve ever had uses 40:1 or 50:1. i am using yamalube semi synthetic oil.

Yes go to a homedepot and buy a quality 2 cycle oil.. and mis 40-1 ( they say 40-1 mix on them, echo oil is good, so is poulon and husky) that backpack was a 350$ blower in it's day, very good blower very expensive parts, don't break anything the fuel tank from Kawasaki is about $65 last I looked years ago.. Gas cap parts were 6$ a piece that factory cap is worth about 18$ Good Luck , Friiy

I,ve already broke the tank, so i,m looking around for another tank that i can mount on it that,ll work. so like i said i,m using yamalube semi synthetic oil, which is really good oil, that should be ok to mix 40:1 for this blower right? I use this blower on a gold mining machine (a drywasher) and it runs at about 1/2 trottle a hour or so at a time
