trouts2 said: "When looking at files with Windows Explorer the file extensions are shown as text and not the real extension and capitals used no matter what is used in the original file." There's an easy way around this, go to Tools | Options. Under the View tab is a checkbox for "Hide file extensions for known file types", uncheck it. Also, the easiest way to make a jpg or gif file is to just paste the pic into Paint, then use "Save As" select gif or jpg, it will do either.

Bill, >>>There's an easy way around this I'm embarrised - forgot that - unchecked and displaying now - thanks. >>>Also, the easiest way to make a jpg or gif file is to just paste the pic into Paint, then use "Save As" select gif or jpg, it will do either. Adobe does not give me and edit option to cut on a selected pdf page section. I'm using the free version so that feature is either not available or I don't know how to select a piece and cut it. The select tool will highlight text but not offer cut on a right click or off the top bar menu. ?? trouts

Trouts, Instead of acrobat reader, try Foxit Reader from www.foxitsoftware.com, it's free and has a snapshot tool that will place any selection directly into your clipboard. It's on the top right of the toolbar. It's also much smaller than adobe's reader so it loads a LOT faster.

Hiya: When you insert the link, should you see the picture or just the link. I used the same website as you did and chose, from the four options, the direct link.
