Wet / Dry Vacuums

Some vacuums are able to clean in either wet or dry situations. If there is a large wet spill in the garage or on the kitchen floor, the wet/dry vac can come to your rescue. Drag it out to the driveway and run it around the carpeting in your car in its dry mode. This type of more industrial vacuum cleaner can even reverse the flow of the air and inflate you air mattress or swimming tube (or even blow the leaves from your front walk. Whip out some of the multi attachments for specialty cleaning and you can squeegee clean the garage or get into small corners. For the wet/dry vac, think heavy duty, garage and basement applications as they are not particularly maneuverable. This is really not a replacement for your in house vacuum, but is a handy extension of your cleaning arsenal. Don’t spend money on attachments you will most likely not use, but remember the right tool for the job can make any cleaning less onerous.
