I too need to know what is the best vac. for pet hair. We have two
dogs and have to unclog the "dirt-devil" everytime I've used it, we've
been through 2 dirt devils...they just can't take it. There's a true
design flaw with the dd and the way the vac tubes run, which is why it
clogs so much. PLEASE, IF ANYONE HAS A GOOD VAC THAT SUCKS UP THE PET
HAIR AND EVERYTHING ELSE, LET ME KNOW!!!

Try a Eureka Ultra Smart Vac
they have very large tubes to resist cloging the largest tube I've ever seen in a vacuum
they cost about $188.00

Check out the Air Storm at www.aircleaners.com. The Air Storm is very powerful and its powerhead will do a great job of vacumming pet hair. This unit is not cheap in price like your dirt devil. But it is made to last for the many many years to come. Another point why the Air Storm is so great is that when the vacuum bag fills up, it does not lose any vacuum or air flow to the motor. This is because the air flow is being pulled above the dust bag and not through it as most other vacuum cleaners do.You can fill your dust bag to the very top and the vacuum flow will be as strong as ever. Also the Air Storms great true HEPA filter and sealed case will not allow any pet dander to escape from the unit.
