I am in the process of replacing my old Tech snowblower engine with a B&S 7.75 Intek. I am having trouble locating a belt sheave online and was looking for some help on locating one. I would use the old one but it is cracked. This B&S has a 3/4" shaft. ANy help would be greatly appreciated.

B&S overhead valve all the way. You may need spacers to elevate the engine a bit to replace the Tecumseh. The spacers can be ordered with the engine. They actually might even be part of the kit with no additional cost. Small Engine Warehouse have lots of engines at very good prices. Hi borat. That is where I plan on purchasing the new powerplant from. I was just curious about who is using what out there and what other opinions are out there. Thanks.

Repower question/opinion...

I was wondering if anyone had any opinions on motors. I am going to repower my Ariens and debating between a 7.5 Hp Briggs Snow Intek OHV or a 7 Hp Tecumseh Snow King. Can anyone share any thoughts or opinions? Thanks.

Re: Ariens ST824 goes in gear but won't move

Hi AB, I had a similar problem with my father-in-law's Noma machine. I removed the lower cover to look at the friction disk area. Everything was adjusted properly and the chain was attached to the drive shaft. I did find that the pin that links the drive sprocket to the shaft was sheared. I replaced the pin and all worked well. I have since aquired the machine and use it as a back-up to my Ariens. I'm not sure if the Ariens is configured the same way but it might be worth looking into. On another note, be sure to NOT over tension the drive clutch. This will cause premature wear to the friction disk. Good luck... toolmantr
