Im looking for a shifter handle for a model 526, the hole in the lever broke, and by re drilling, its too short and will not move the linkage into the proper gear slots on the dash

Walbroman I don't know the model of the mower but a friend of mine at work is gonna trash an old Toro. I can see if he has the shifter on it. I don't know if it will match up or not though?
