Ok, how do you guys do it? You know, you're refueling the OPE or something and some gasoline gets splashed/spilled onto your hand. How do you get rid of the smell? I have used go-jo and the like as well as scrubbing with dish washing soap but to no avail. Any recommendations? The kids have on more than one occasion told me that my hands stink. 

 Anyone?

We use gojo as you just mentioned, than wash with regular soap, then rince well, then because gas vapor can als get on our closths aswell, we spray colone on our shirts. As far as the gas smell it goes away on its own in a few hours but for a right away change, I would change your clothss. And the ultimate of course is taking a shower and putting on clean cloths. Take your pic, either way, you will smell.

I kinda' recall someone using Simple Green cleaner to take care of diesel fuel smell in clothing... might work...

D&L hand cleaner works good too, but it leaves an odd residual odor as well, which is taken care of by regular soap.

i don't have a good answer. But I do wear gloves. i have some in the car. and i wear latex for working.

I use Lava hand soap, the liquid form seems to leave my hands smelling like pumice. 

Amoco gas stations used to have a squirt container of some "magic product" that would eliminate the smell.  I have not seen that at a station for years....probably caused cancer in rats if they slept in it.  I would have liked to find some of that stuff.

One thing that helps as well is to use 3M's liquid glove.  It is a foam that you rub into your hand prior to working with grease, oils, fuels etc...When done with the project it would really help in getting your hands clean

I haven't tried it but the question got me to thinking. How about lemon juice? Rinse the hands with some???? I will try it next time I gas up my hands.

Well, my wife loves the smell of gasoline.  She likes it when I've been spraying brakekleen or carbkleen in the garage, too.  I really haven't been asked to "get rid of that gasoline smell". 

Anyway, maybe a little off track, but if you have garlic or onion on your hands, just rub a stainless steel utensil under water with your hands and it takes that smell away (that's what that "magic metal" that you see advertised in a soap bar shape).  Maybe it will work for gasoline too.

You mean gas has a smell?  I haven't smelt gas in years (unless it's in a horribly rotten carb).

Guess I've been working in a confined space with gas in the air for too long. Maybe that's what's wrong with me???

PS - The shower seems to be the best way, but we use some kind of cheap hand cleaner from the hardware store and it works wonders, but smells - well better then gas.

A little Doe-In-Heat would cover the scent.

a drop or two of Vanilla extract works great for gasoline smell.
Mexico has the best, and it is very inexpensive there

i usually rince my nands off with diesel fuel, & poof.....no noticable gas smell.....................seriously, ive found the orange hand cleaners such as gojos fast orange do about as well as anything, but while we're on (sort of) the subject, of hand cleaners, plain old shampoo does a good job of getting the grease and grime off too.it takes a little more scrubbing is all. so when i run out of hand cleaner i just leave greasy finger prints on the wifes shampoo bottle.

Pour molasses on your hands or arms, then scrub and rinse.  Then pour some Creole on both hands or arms.  Scrub with your hands.  Rinse.  The smell will some a lot better now instead of smelling like gas, you smell like food. Yum!  It worked for me!
