Add-on Muffler Guard for Intek Snow Motor
Original Message   Feb 12, 2005 8:13 pm
For you folks that have the 7.75 HP Intek OHV snow motor here's a nice upgrade.  It's a muffler guard to keep you from burning your fingers or loose clothing.  I melted a hole in my new parka when I first got the machine.     I don't want that to happen again!    Thanks to Jim_O  for researching the Briggs part numbers for the guard and mounting screw.  I got mine this week and installed it today.   It was a snap to install and looks good too - nicely chromed steel.     It should have been standard equipment - the only weakness in an otherwise flawless snow motor.

hey guys ...

you think that snowblower is discontinued...ha ha . they still make the exact same one except is green .

only bad part on it is the sheetmetal engine pulley.(splits the outside end off)other than that you cant beat it especilly for the price.

and yes the muffler guard is nice.

but did you know that there is a nice little 90` that fastens on the end of it and directs the exhaust  down instead of out .

comes on the new snappers and should go right on yours.

Nice idea.  I notice you have done 1 review on the 5 pieces of equipment you have listed.  It is good to lead by example.

  TomP,

My stuff except for the snowblower  and blower are over 12 years old.

They are to old on a review to help any one,  IMHO

I did my snoblower and I planned on doing rhe Weed Eater blower next month.

                           But  thanks for your prod!!

REVIEWS ON DISCONTINUED PRODUCTS ARE STILL OF VALUE.

While your on the subject.  How about a seperate tab for older equip.  Maybe to include some Antique refurbs.  The comparison's to It's modern version could be good information etc.  Did they make a good thing better etc.  will give insight to someone on a more limited budget shopping for used stuff,  or buying used stuff to rebuild and have as a back-up etc. And give some insight on parts availability for some of the stuff that is still available, just hard to find cause these companies change names etc.
