Toro 824 XL snowblower will not drive
Original Message   Nov 21, 2015 7:21 pm
Seems that my snowblower will not move in drive. I have removed the bellypan and activated the drive lever. Belt is turning the friction wheel and when friction wheel contacts the plate the drive mechanism seems to work. However the drive axle will not move when I have the machine lifted up. The axle gear is not making contact with the sprocket. would this be because the drive axle is bad?

  Just for reference.

Not sure without a picture to see but it can happen that the axle bearings are so worn the gear teeth will not touch.
