Tecumseh snow king engine replace
Original Message   Mar 4, 2014 8:47 pm
I have a LH318SA(HMSK80) - 156574 - Snow King series - cast iron cylinder sleeve - recoil start - 3/4" Dia. x 2.37" keyed crankshaft - D/T 3/8-24 - has 18 watt alternator - Does anyone know an engine I can replace it with. I prefer a 10 hp or better with 12 volt dc or 120 volt ac start .

Flywheel balance would not be an issue.
A flywheel is balanced independently.
It doesn't matter what engine it goes on.
A balanced flywheel is a balanced flywheel.
Engine balance as was stated before
is controlled by the crankshaft.
Some engines (Honda's) also have balance shafts.
Which just smooth things out a little more.
