Older model Toro
Original Message   Jan 17, 2005 10:20 am
Dear Sirs,

Been thinking of leaving my 8/26 (1979) snowthrower outside and chained. Would I have to put a special oil in it ? Furthermore what would be the big disadvatages ?(It now has a cozy place in my garage)

Thanks

Jim

I left my older Sears machine under a deck for my fist year in my house ( No Shed). Only problem was a partially frozen recoil, and a frozen auger once, easily remedied.  Put a cheap tarp over it and save a few headachs, just wait a few minutes for it to COOL OFF before throwing plastic on it.

Cosmetically my Honda has aged tremendously in appearance due to doing this very thing to it.  I regret it but had no choice.  If given a choice I would never do it again.
