does your engine have points/condensor, if so l would replace them, if you have weak spark it could cause a flooded plug. also check for intake leak (loose manifold). l would also say spark plug but you already changed it. hi niper99 ...I went out today and bought points/condenser....still no luck...for the manifold there is all new gaskets and a new carb kit

thks mkd55 ... I tryed today many diffrent plugs {ex rc 17, rc19 , jc8 ect} with no luck ...I had the machine running to day ,it was running pretty good but everytime I push the level to ingauge the auger it would back fire and run really ruff I disengauge the auger and it went back to normal? I reset the govenor .. Now it will start but only if i set the throttle on slow if i try to raise the r.p.m's the engine will die on me and the spark plug is wet ???? thks guys

mark! that's the exact way mine was. it would start sometimes with the throttle way low just above the idle.it would also pop and backfire on fast throttle setting while trying to start eventually i would pull the plug dry it out, and if you got lucky it would then fire. hope you find out what it is!! if so let me know. mkdahl@charter.net
