Can someone please help me.....my riding mower which has this cursed Tecumseh engine OHV130 DIED today while mowing and collecting leaves.

The mower seemed to be chuggin' along just fine, when all of a sudden it LURCHED and came to a halt.  The motor oil was okay ; I checked that first.  I can hear a click when I turn the switch, the flywheel seems to move a little but that's it !!  Could it be the starter??  wonder WTF is wrong !!

Anyone know what I should look for??  I am desperate...need to get this damn motor fixed.  Hope the engine is not toast !!!

Also, can someone please get me a manual ; you can email to : vinniemak@netzero.net ; or upload to my server:  ftp://upload:upload@vin.serveftp.com

Thanks in advance for your help.

Hello Denis,

Could you send me the .PDF Tech book for the Tecumse 3 to 11 HP motor?

I'm haveing very difficult starts with my Coleman Generator, with the Tecumse Engine. Once it starts, it runs great.

I installed a starter from another broken engine, flywheel and all. It's even terrible to start using that. Do you have any suggestions?

The carb is clean, I use a fuel stabilizer and run it from time to time just to make sure. But even if it sits for a month or so, it's very difficult to start it.

Thanks for your time,

Jerry Holt
