I'd plan on three, I think you can get a little more than one coat per can. I found the nozzles to vary a bit, some laid it on nicely and one clogged. It' s$3.75 at WalMart but some other auto parts stores get $5.09.
Also, make sure you get 1620, not 1607, which is a little darker. BTW I'm told that this is also the same color as Kubota orange, have no way of checking.
Decades ago, car enamel did not "set up" and harden quick unless is was baked which was why you could not use polishing compound on it for quite a while. That is why we used lacquer for a high gloss shine. The lacquer finish was like a mirror but would chip very easily. Lacquer also required a week of drying time to ensure the pink polishing compund we used would not become permanently part of a white paint finish and have a pink tint.
We used to "tap" on a hidden area of the finish with our fingernail to see if it left an indent. If it did, we knew not to try to polish it else tha paint job would be ruined.
