Deere Snowblower Part Needed
Original Message   May 31, 2005 9:32 pm

O.K.  Here’s the story…

A friend of mine got a John Deere TRS32 snowblower from his father.  It was first purchased on August 29, 1994 (SN:  MOTR32X141386) and in great shape but my friend is in the process of replacing a few worn parts so it’s ready when winter comes.  He’s pretty much done except for the spring at the end of the wheel drive cable.  He replaced the auger drive spring (part no.  M110629).  He was given part no.  M95681 for the auger but it’s not the right one.  The M95681 has a “body” (for lack of a better term) that’s about 3 ¼ inches long and a “hook” coming off it that’s about 7” long.  The one he needs has a 4 ¼” “body” and 1 ¾” “hook.”  The auger spring he got (M110629) has a 3 1/4” “body” and 2 ¼” “hook.”

His Deere dealer has been trying very hard but just can’t seem to find the right part.  Apparently the parts manual is wrong.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

LL

Type trs32 into model # box it shows the part # you have been getting. Even an older model shows the same spring # but it looks different in the picture.

Sherri might have some input in the morning, if you don't have an answer by then.

If nothing else and you have the old spring, you can do some figuring with a coil count, diameter, and wire thickness. You might be able to come real close.

But I would wait on the experts. When did Ariens start making the Deeres? When did they stop?
