Aluminized paint on Tecumseh Muffler?
Original Message   May 19, 2005 5:16 pm
The 8hp blower I bought has a fairly new Tecumseh HMSK80 engine. The muffler has some light rust that sanded off fairly easily, but it appears the aluminized paint is gone from those areas.

Should I buy this at a dealer or is it a standard product? Do auto parts stores carrry it?

They make some for hi heat applications that comes in a can, if you will, with a brush mounted to the screw off lid. I've used it, it's good stuff. Now, the stuff I used was actual aluminum color, silver. Wish I could remember the name of it? Krylon and Rust-Oleum make some in a spray can.
