pull start on ariens 1128
Original Message   Dec 28, 2004 9:08 pm
Tryed to post this on "WTB" but not to many replies so I will try this site. Ok after running my ariens for the first time for about an hour I shut it down for about 5 to 10 minutes then went to go and start it again the pull start felt like it had a lot of force behind it but I pulled it anyway and the cord broke so I fixed the cord but it still has a lot of force behind it. Any ideas on how to fix the problem?

Yes there is oil in the engine and she does start with the electric start.

Maybe it's as simple as the pull start mechanism is screwed up?

It could just be on the compression stroke. It's harder to pull when it is. - Kris
