My old Ariens has something like 3.50/4.10 x 6 (I think).

I have a chance to buy some Snow Hogs that are described as 13 X 5.00 X 6

What is the sizing convention, and would they fit my rims?

THIS MIGHT HELP YOU OUT.

BASICALLY, YOU CAN MOUNT THEM ON YOUR RIM BUT THE TIRE WILL BE TALLER THAN 13" AND MORE BOWED IN THE CENTER BECAUSE OF THE THINNER RIM WIDTH YOU HAVE.

The taller tire will also effectivly give you higher gear ratios, resulting in higher ground speeds at a given throttle setting and gear choice. so you may have to comphensate by blowing in a lower gear to achieve the same speed.

I guess you'd say they're made in my backyard.
