Anyone no if the straight axle diff from a small lawn tractor  not the transmission type will with stand the torque for an 8hp briggs with comet clutch.

hi Millwright...

your lil diff will handle the load if you make sure that the axle bushings are in like new condition.also make sure that the input shaft bushings are good to.

if you need these bushings let me know,they are always in stock.
