Re: Selling related items?

I wouldn't contradict our illustrious admin but would like to at least express some concern about forsale ads. I have absolutely no problem with contributing members selling each other stuff but if a lot of ads start appearing it will attract people who's sole purpose for joining the forum, and their sole contribution to it, will be to post an ad. They'll just see it as a great market specific classifieds.
Other websites get around this by having a separate forsale forum which you can choose to read or not. I wouldn't want to see this forum getting cluttered up with posts from unknow members that simply point to ebay auctions, like what happens on usenet.
Paul Very good point.
I thought there was some discussion to set up a separate tab similar to the "Reviews" tab that would be dedicated for selling stuff. That would alleviate the "clutter" on this forum.

So yours would be the equivalent of the L1428E? Yes. Here it is with the snow cab & chute liner, deflector modifications and another pic of the machine in action.

I was going to consider the L1226E. Is it the same as the 9528? Not too big and not too small. Thanks borat!
No. Not the same as the 9528. A 9528 has the 305cc 9.5 (going on 11.5) h.p. engine and a 28" width. Not sure but I think the one you're looking at has the 248cc engine and will be missing a few convenience features. Otherwise, looks like a rugged machine. Here's a link to look at the specs.

From the line up you posted, I'd be choosing one of the Simplicity machines. The I924 Simplicity model is their intermediate machine. For the money, I'd step up to their large frame model to get easy steer, one hand operation, heavy duty cast iron auger gear drive, much stronger engine and probably an overall tougher more capable machine. Go large frame.

Your skids aren't providing enough flotation. Go to a scrap yard and get a piece of 1"x14" x 1/4" steel flat bar (stainless would be best), cut the flat bar in half, bend the ends up slightly (to make a ski) on each piece. If you don't weld, take the skids and pieces of flat bar to a welder and have them weld the flat bar to the bottom of the stock skids ensure the that the flat bar is just shy of being flush with the mounting surface of the skid. That way, you can retain the ability to adjust the skids without interfering with the side of the intake housing. It will work great on gravel.
