Toolbar Issue
Original Message   Jan 14, 2005 7:46 am
Has anyone else lost their toolbar? Deleted cache, restarted Firefox, Java script enabled and still no toolbar. Netscape doesn't show it either.

Interesting that on the account page I still get one for the signature.

Guys I think I have found the problem.

Check your account settings.  My advanced editor was deselected.  Once I checked it the toolbar was back.

It looks like we have a bug. When a moderator updates your points/joined date, it might be unchecking your "Use advanced editor" setting!

BUG FIXED!

There was a bug that caused some users to have their "Use advanced editor..." setting to be turned off unexpectedly. It has been resolved. Since 62 accounts were marked as "off" I simply switched all back to "on" and hopefully the few who actually want it off will figure to go back to their settings and do so!

Guess I didn't associate recheck some things with advanced editor being turned off.

Sure would have saved me a bunch of time if I did.

Thanks for the heads up!

There were only two browsers that could use the toolbar on my end. Mozilla Firefox and Internet Explorer. Opera canot for some reason display the toolbar. I use Opera alot like right now even, so I can not use the toolbar. Thats ok with me, but when I want to change my text or add smilies, I will use firefox.

When you don't have the toolbar, you can actually still stylize your text with codes similar to what YaBB used.

A help document outlining these codes will be available shortly, but here are some codes:

This text will be red
BOLD

Thanks Peter. I like to use forum code. Starting to get good at it. However, every forum is a little different in there coding tecniques. So, it would deffinetly be a good idea to have a description page. Thanks Peter...
