What is the type of equipment. Some of the mufflers are catalytic and have to be replaced. Other wise you have to burn it out with a torch it must be red hot!! AJ

These snow throwers were built by General Power & they were bought out by MTD. So MTD would be your source of parts. But most of the cross references have been removed from the parts lists. You will need a dealer that kept the paper parts lists. Is your part number JA-34347-0? If it is than the cross to MTD is 741-0696. AJ

John I did find a 2003 manual the only there is on the dealer web site if you can PM me I'll see if I can get it to you. What state is your brother in it is a shame that he can't get the help he needs. The model numbers will help us help you. AJ
