This is a good first phone. I had one and it had great service as long as you held your head the right way. My Mom and Dad each have one of them now. Mom has hers with her at all times and uses it frequently. Dad only uses his for service calls and it rarely works where he is and if it is working he can't hear the ring even when it's turned to it's loudest setting. The batteries last a long time and the phone is easy to use.
