Better Keyboard for your phone
If you use your cell phone for more than audio “Hi’s” and “Yo’s”, check out the Fastap feature, exclusively on the new LG AX 490 with Alltel. Although the phone’s got real issues, the Fastap is such an innovative keyboard for phones you may want to ignore the drawbacks.
The Fastap technology is the first alpha-numeric keyboard on a mobile phone. You can IM your little heart out with this innovation from DigitWireless. Here’s the deal. You have six rows of three buttons (numbers and functions)…that’s the norm. But then in the corners of each button are raised buttons for the total alphabet for quick SMS, Web browsing, etc. Make a mistake and press both a letter and number? The number always wins.
The LG AX490 has a ton of issues (dropped calls, poor reception, sound quality, tons of background noise, etc.), but the Fastap is “da bomb”. Let’s hope DigitWireless can expand to other vendors.
