Used cars should still carry the same coverage levels of liability, medical and uninsured driver insurance. But look at your collision and comprehensive figures to get some savings. If the car isn't worth a whole lot out there on the used car lot, then consider little or no collision coverage.

Be realistic when thinking about the value of your used car. Your old car is likely less valuable to the buying public than it is to you.
