Here is the Vax V-045 Widetrack sold in the UK from 2003. I had one and it was lousy. Horrible noise and hose that you had to attach permanently to the back of the handle and a mesh covered over a paper pleated cone filter. Years later I was shocked when I discovered a tarted up model that Euro Shark sell called the Infinity NV. Now of course several years after that the next one up in the line up uses a slightly different body and guess what, the TTi inspired "no loss of suction filters." Ive a feeling that Euro-Shark are using TTi but don't quote me, for their ranges.
Add another like-a-like in the $120 price range from EUREKA-lux. One in purple. One is yellow. Hope the new Chief Designer doesn't get wind of this and decide to sue for color copying.

I attended and graduated with these degrees on a full ride scholarship making the dean's list every semester and graduating in just 3 years working full-time all the while.
I know you are jealous of me/my success. But isn't this thread about Sir James Dyson? Not me.

Carmen,
Let's hope people avoid putting their hard-earned money and their kids into so-called Ivy League universities you attended. These educations seem to a tanked for you... or certainly in terms of dollar value they been a loser. Again, you're in no position to criticize men like James Dyson outside of your scope... that is, swapping parts, stocking your store and maybe just maybe evaluating apples to apples.
You need to haul-a$$ to a shrink and have that jealously and lying beyond belief checked out. But of course, many in your trade suffer with this too.
The solution tank leaks when I put it on; is the seal worn?

If I recall correctly, the HOOVER FM User Guide says not to use substitutes and may even mention Pine-sol by name.

yes Hoover says not to use Pine-Sol but I think its safe just as long as its been diluted before putting into the clean water tank of a Floormate. Pine-sol is what I use on my Floor-a-matic when I wash the floors.
Perhaps maybe there is a relationship between the use of Pine-sol and the leaky seals. And perhaps maybe the reason HOOVER says don't use it. What do you think??? Especially if at some future time your HOOVER FM develops leaky seals from use of Pine-sol.
Back in the late 50's and early 60's when HOOVER intro'ed the Rug Shampooer, the Users Manual specifically said use of then common household cleaners Vel and Dreft were allowable and recommended in its machine for rug cleaning. They worked well too in lieu of the HOOVER rug cleaning solution. But HOOVER's was better IMHO.
